The third day of racing at the Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships sees the Laser and Radials commence gold fleet racing, the RS:X conclude their qualification series as well as the start of 470 competition.
For the final day of the 2014 J/70 World Championship presented by Helly Hansen, the New York Yacht Club Race Committee brought the fleet back out to Rhode Island Sound where three races were run in 8-14 knots of breeze.
It was a day for the French on the opening day of racing for the Men's and Women's RS:X at the Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships. Pierre le Coq advanced to the top in the men's fleet whilst 2014 European Champion Charline Picon took the lead in the women's fleet.
In the current weather system it was no surprise that once again there was no wind in the morning at the Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships but at least there was sun, initially. Fleets were held ashore for a brief spell before an 8 knot breeze set in for the first races of the day.
