The qualification system to the ISAF Sailing World Cup Final - the world's pinnacle sailing regatta contested by the best Olympic class competitors - has been published.

The second day of the 29er World Championships began with unsteady winds from the North in the early morning. As sailors launched and arrived at the course there was only a short postponement to allow Kingston's famous thermal to kick in. By early afternoon the South West breeze had begun filling in with 12-16 knots of steady breeze.

The wind returned with a vengeance on day four of the Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam, hosted by René Egli, as winds of 25-35 knots howled across Sotavento to produce the most exhilarating racing of the year.

Two hundred and forty youth sailors from all six continents had light winds for their first day of racing at the Laser Radial Youth World Championship in Dziwnów, Poland.

The Training and Development department of ISAF has appointed Emrah Surmen of Turkey as a Regional Development Co-ordinator (RDC) responsible for assisting MNAs in ISAF membership groups C, H, I as well as some of Northern African group Q members to develop National Sports Structures specific to Sailing.

Over 200 sailors in their 29ers hit Lake Ontario for a wet and windy start to the 2014 29er Worlds. The rain never let up but brought lots of breeze in the 20 knot range.

The Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2014 is the first test event of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will take place from 2-9 August from the Marina da Gloria.

The ISAF World Sailing Rankings for 28 July 2014 have been released.
