Three-Person Keelboat - Sonar through to the 2016 Paralympic Sailing Competition.
The IFDS Equipment Evaluation Commission is being given the task to evaluate equipment for the Paralympic Sailing Competitions.
The IFDS Executive Committee has appointed the following members to the Equipment Evaluation Commission:
John Twomey (IRL) - Chairman
Vasilis Christoforou (GRE) - Sailor
Bernard Destrubé (FRA) - Medical Expert
Brian Todd (CAN) - Coaching Background
Reserve/Emergency - Heiko Kroger (GER) - Sailor
Bill Abbott - ISAF Representative
Members have been chosen based on skill, experience and contribution. The concept was to create a small group of experts rather than a large body of representatives each with their own special interests. From a communications standpoint, conference telephone calls, emails and occasional face-to-face meetings are expected. Funds are of course limited so communication via email is typically preferred. Any face-to-face meetings necessary are planned around existing events to minimize or eliminate any costs.
